This is the Docker Hub repository for the TunnelSats Companion App on Umbrel OS (v1.6+).

⁠What it solves

Running a Lightning Network node over Tor ensures privacy but introduces high latency and routing reliability issues. Conversely, running on Clearnet exposes your home IP address.

TunnelSats provides a hybrid solution: Privacy-preserving clearnet connectivity. By establishing a secure WireGuard tunnel to one of our global servers, your node's lightning traffic is routed through our IP address. Your home IP remains hidden, while you benefit from the speed and reliability of the Clearnet.

⁠Features

• Instant Setup: Purchase and generate WireGuard configurations directly within the Umbrel UI.
• Dynamic Forwarding: The Tunnelsats App operates at the Docker Bridge level, cleanly routing traffic via DNAT to LND or Core-Lightning containers without breaking native Umbrel apps or requiring host OS modifications (sudo).
• Telemetry & Status: Real-time connected/protected status, active IP/Port readouts, and nftables sync monitoring.

⁠Architecture Support

This repository utilizes a multi-arch deployment pipeline. The images available here support:

• linux/amd64 (Standard x86_64 hardware)
• linux/arm64 (Raspberry Pi 4, etc.)
