matteoschmider/dpcpp-compiler repository overview

This repository contains images which package the Intel oneAPI DPC++ compiler. They are useful for compiling SYCL applications without needing to build or install the compiler natively. Whilst Intel maintains some images for this purpose themselves, they are limited to 1.) Linux only and 2.) Intel's own SYCL backends. In contrast, the images in this repository are planned to cover every combination of the following:

Platforms:

  • Windows 11
  • Ubuntu 22.04 Linux

Backends:

  • OpenCL (for Cross-platform GPU support)
  • CUDA (enabling SYCL applications compiled from the same source files as with the OpenCL backend to be used with Nvidia's tooling, e.g. Nsight and lower kernel launch latencies of CUDA)
  • HIP AMD (DPC++ compiler only supports this on Linux currently)
  • HIP Nvidia (DPC++ compiler only supports this on Linux currently)
