The IBM OpenContent Common Utility Image is a docker image built on the Red Hat UBI 8 minimal image with a set of common utilities.

The IBM Internal Community Source contains community-driven content to be used by teams as sub-components of a larger product. ⁠What is in this image

This image is built from the official Red Hat Universal Base Minimal Image.⁠ The following components are installed in the image:

• kubectl
• busybox (many utilities, run busybox in container to see documentation)
  • less
  • ping
  • nslookup
• sed
• curl
• openSSL
• nmap-ncat (netcat implementation)

⁠Installation procedure

This component is intended to be used as a common starting point for use in your product. Specify it as a base image in your Dockerfile and use it as you would any other image.
