See our Docker Quick-Start for a quick introduction. All configuration options are listed in the Settings Pages on the Documentation Site.

We also have an introduction to the OGC SensorThings API.

What is FROST-Server?

A Server implementation of the OGC SensorThings API. The FRaunhofer Opensource SensorThings-Server is the first complete, open-source official reference implementation of the OGC SensorThings API Part 1: Sensing 1.0 and 1.1 and OGC SensorThings API Part 2: Tasking Core 1.0.

The OGC SensorThings API is a REST-API for exchanging sensor data and sensor metadata. It is based on OASIS OData and handles the full sensor lifecycle: Create, Read, Update and Delete.

Besides implementing the OGC SensorThings API, FROST-Server also has many useful extensions to make your handling of sensor data easier. From version 2.0 onwards FROST-Server can also be used as an OData server with a flexible data model.
