⁠Dynatrace Configuration as Code

​ Evolved from the Monitoring as Code CLI we provide Observability and Security as Code to fully automate configuration of the Dynatrace platform at any scale- from automating standard configuration of all your Dynatrace environments to meeting specific demands for individual ones. ​ The documentation for the Dynatrace Configuration as Code tool Monaco is available here⁠ ​ This container image is provided to simplify the usage of the Monaco CLI in CI/CD. ​ You can download the CLI as well as a copy of the Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) from the release page⁠. ​ If you're new to Monaco and want to learn more, check out the Observability Clinic on Monaco 2.0⁠. ​

⁠Quick Start and Configuration

​ When used as a build container in CI/CD, monaco is available as a command inside the container. ​ Additionally, the container image can be used just like CLI - command arguments when running the container are passed as arguments to the Monaco CLI inside it. ​ For details on running the Dynatrace Configuration as Code tool Monaco, see the official documentation⁠** ​

​ The Dynatrace Configuration as Code tool Monaco is provided by Dynatrace Incorporated. ​ Support for Monaco 2.0+ is provided by the Dynatrace Support team, as described on the support page⁠. ​

⁠Other forms of Dynatrace Configuration as Code

​ In addition to the Dynatrace-specific configuration-as-code tool Monaco, we fully support the Dynatrace Terraform provider. ​ It can be found in the following Github repository⁠ or via the Terraform registry⁠. ​ If you are already using Terraform or plan to do so, we recommend to use the Dynatrace Terraform provider for Dynatrace configuration as code.
