⁠Overview

This Docker image is built on top of the bsantanna/java-ruby-dev image and includes tools for managing Chef / CINC servers and advanced DevOps tasks. It is designed to support environment provisioning for cloud purposes, providing a consistent and reliable environment for advanced DevOps workflows.

⁠Usage Command

To run a container using this image and start a session in the Chef repository directory, use the following command:

docker run -it --rm -v $(pwd):/opt/workspace/chef-repo bsantanna/chef-dev:latest /bin/bash

This command will start a container, mount the current directory to the Chef repository directory, and open a Bash session, allowing you to manage your Chef / CINC servers and perform environment provisioning tasks.
